The University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh look forward to welcoming you to the 2024 Men’s Scottish Varsity Rugby Match on Saturday 21 September at the Hive Stadium, Edinburgh for the continuation of this ancient rivalry between Scotland’s two oldest university rugby clubs.
Through a new partnership with Scottish Rugby and Edinburgh Rugby, and supported by official event partners Campus Living Villages, this year’s event will move to the Hive Stadium, Edinburgh.
Timings
- 12:30 gates open to spectators
- 14:00 Scottish Varsity Match: Edinburgh Men’s 1st XV v St Andrews Men’s 1st XV
- 14:40 half-time
- 15:40 full time
- 15:45 presentations
- 17:00-17:30 St Andrews spectator buses depart
- 18:00 close

£11.50* students/under 18s
£16.50* adults
* includes transaction fee
Please note that ticket prices will go up by £5 on the day of the match.
- Choice of standing or seated tickets
- No limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased
- Spectators will need to show a valid Scottish Varsity Match ticket on the Scottish Rugby Ticket App to gain entry to the event
ST ANDREWS SPECTATOR BUS tickets
Bus tickets are no longer available.
- To make travel to the Hive Stadium easier for St Andrews supporters, a limited number of subsidised bus tickets are available from St Andrews to and back from the match
- Buses will leave at 11am and arrive back at approximately 6.30pm
- Your ticket receipt will provide instructions on how, where and when to collect your bus ticket
